  2. Even in the UK, you can purchase the "Freehold" of a piece of land. That is the nearest you will get to owning it. For almost all purposes, you do "own" it, but the term "Freehold " is a clue. It means you hold the land without paying rent for it. So, you may ask: "Who does own it? and the answer is : "The Crown." If the Crown decides they want it back, they can take it and there is not a thing you can do about it.

Well, as far as I can see, it is a firm belief in something that cannot be proved. To me, that looks stupid. I'm sorry about that, because I admire some people who are religious.

  6. What a pratt this Tobias Elwood is! There is no evidence that Huawei equipment is designed to spy on anyone. The German government reseachers were given the Huawei operating system to examine and after a year or two's reseach concluded that is had no "back doors " or other spy-type features, just as Huawei said. I remember another Tory MP, of an exactly similar stripe called, IIRC, Tufton Beamish, who shortly after WW2 ended, came to our school and gave us a lecture on the menaceof the USSR and explained how the Western powers, cheifly Britain and the US had to re-arm, in order to defend "Democracy" all over the World from the Soviet Threat. After his lecture we were invited by the Headmaster to ask him questions and I asked him how he reconciled the West's "Defenxse of Democracy" with its support, against their own popiulations, of numerous dictators such as: General Franco of Spain, General Salazaar of Portugal, the Colonels of Greece, King Farouk of Egypt, King Idris of Libya, General Chiang Kai-shek of China and numerous others , who, without exception were vehemently Anti-Democratic. I was shocked by the cynicism of his answer. "Ah well, me lad! You'll find as you grow up, that it doesn't do to look too closely at your friends, or you may find you haven't got any!" While this may have been good "Life advice", It was an evasion of my question and no sort of basis for "Defending Democracy". His lecture was in fact, just scaremongering. The same as Tobias Ellwoods remarks on Huawei. Both of them strike me, as being US puppets.

The economic conditions were nothing like as favourable to people who wanted to have and bring up a family as they are now. It's true that there is a problem, but an insoluable problem? No. I don't think so.

  9. Russia, it seems from people (Scott Ritter, Alex Chritaforou, Anja) who have visiited Russia in the last couple of months, say it has not instituted a "Wartime econimy". They have certainly beefed up the production of armarments, but that has only marginally impacted the rest of the economy.

There has not been a year since then, when you could not read confident predictions of Chinese communist or Chinese state collapse coming soon. It still has not happened!

If you look at the situation in China at the time the PRC was declared, it is literally incredible that it is the same place. Yes, of course it has improved immensely in the last 40 years but it improved immensely before that too. Read "Red Star Over China" or "The Great Road" or "Journey to the Beginning" to see what sort of state China was in before the PRC, see the mess that the PRC inherited and the efforts that the USA made to keep China down. What has been achieved is really extraordinary and quite without historical precedent.

  15. I have posted this contribution to the discussion in a few other threads but I think it is worth doing so again, as, as faras I know no one else seems to thik along the same lines (Or circles.) Almost all the conflict that has plagued the World since 1945 has originated in the US, because of its obssession with being the World Hegemon. The constsnt war-mongering has its seat in what I call the "Vicious circle" in Washington DC. This circular structure is fed, willy-nilly by the us taxpayer and passes out money to the shareholders and employees of the weapons mfgs and the lobbyist industry, and its shareholders and employees and the MSM feeds off advertising bought by the weapon mfgs. The Vicious Circle consists of various parts: the congress-critters, the weapons manufacturers, the United States Government and the lobbying industry. The vicious circle functions in the following way: being circular there is no startpoint or end point, but I will start with the congress-critters, who vote for payments to the arms mfgs. The government then orders the weapons and pays the weapons mfgs. The weapons mfgs then pay their shareholders and employees and the lobbyists who pay the congress-critters' election expenses on condition that they vote "the right way" and so it goes round and round with the MSM carrying adverts from the arms mfgs and helping along with stories to alarm the general public. This structure is very powerful, very rich, quite ruthless and very well established. So long as it exists in its present form, I doubt that the World will ever know peace. The only solution I can think of, is if the US is handed a resounding defeat in Ukraine and the Russians insist that all arms mfgs must be nationalised enterprises, with no other shareholder than the government of their country. This, by cutting the financial nexus, would kill the "Vicious Circle" stone-dead. At least I hope it would, I think it would.

It is cover, for the delusional feeling that the Americans have allowed themselves: that they have to be the TOP Dog in the World. This I think, is pure "Projection". The Americans think, that because they use their strength to bully other countries, if any country became strong enough to be able to resist them, they would do the same to the Americans. It is a form of psychological illness. However, this "Illness" is very difficult to treat because the "Elite" are in the Vicious Circle, I have described earlier and it is very profitable to them. They, not the voters, control US Foreign Policy.

  18. The peole running the US at the moment are anti-humans, or rather they reserve their care and affection for the super-rich. IF A PERSON IS NOT SUPER-RICH THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM! For a perfect illustration of this look at the way they talk about "Fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian." Ukraine has lost several generation of its men and the US is worried about the amount of money it is costing them. So, hamstringing the US medical researchers, will worry them only if some of them, fall ill with a disease for which, only China has the treatment.
