  2. 24:20 It's not just in the last 40 years that China has improved; it has improved enormously since 1949! If you look at the situation in China at the time the PRC was declared, it is literally incredible that it is the same place. Yes, of course it has improved immensely in the last 40 years but it improved immensely before that too. Read "Red Star Over China" or "The Great Road" or "Journey to the Beginning" to see what sort of state China was in before the PRC, see the mess that the PRC inherited and the efforts that the USA made to keep China down. What has been achieved is really extraordinary and quite without historical precedent.
