IF A PERSON IS NOT SUPER-RICH THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM! For a perfect illustration of this look at the way they talk about "Fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian." Ukraine has lost several generation of its men and the US is worried about the amount of money it is costing them. So, hamstringing the US medical researchers, will worry them only if some of them, fall ill with a disease for which, only China has the treatment.
