Cleaned up and maintained to sell. Smart seller. I didn't see you check the trans fluid. Love the special effects. π π π π π π

I road for over 40 years. I know the horrors of riding. Your story is typical. I had a guy coming towards me who made a left turn at the same time I was entering the intersection. I laid the bike down as he passed in front of me and managed to pop it back up. I caught up with the guy and gave him hell. He looked at me like I was nuts. He had no idea what he did. I stopped riding when I was 70.

You didn't put any oil on that filter seal before you put it in.
1
As you said, you're not really a welder. You might want to take some time to practice. π€π€¨ Next time this guy comes in, he'll ask if Dave is available.
1
Time for the parts fields.
1
What a PITA of a job. What's the book on this job? I even had a sigh of relief when that came out. Pleasure in your suffering? Let me say, better you than me. Good job bro.
1
I don't think you have to answer to us about anything. We're just happy you and Lauren are safe and ok. Do what is good for you and yours. When someone buys a home, on an island, at sea level, what do you expect when a hurricane comes through? My prayers go out to the families of those that died.
1
Always nice to see Lauren. Ray. You can't afford to hire a cleaning crew to clean those walls? I had a '81 Camaro that was causing major problems. I would take my foot off the gas at speed, but the car would keep running on. It eventually ruined my Catalytic converter. In and out of the dealers with no explanation or fix. I finally sold it and bought a different car. I found out the cause because a guy I worked with, had a daughter with the same problem and her dealer found out the problem.
1
Always nice to see Lauren. Even the lower half. π
1
NJ green arrow before. Wife unit is #1 πππ
1
Always nice to see Lauren.
1
Not "secret" any more. π Typical Chevy. Hide the back plugs. 45 min video on a plug change? Come on Ray.
1
What a ball busting job. π€¬π€¬π€¬ Did you charge by the book on this one? Always nice to see Lauren.
1
You show the top of that tool chest and say "efficiency"? π€
1
Don't mind the long videos, but not to fond of long repeat procedures on the same job. Maybe bring Lauren into the video for a distraction? π
1
First thing I would have done, is clean all the crap off of the work area. I guess you like working in oily grime. YouTube has suspended an existence for less. You couldn't use your new toy up front? You might mention the tires to the customer. You can see the top of Abe Lincolns head. π
1
It's a Jeep. There's nothing "quite right" about it. The thing should be in a junk yard. Notice I didn't say salvage yard. Nothing to salvage. Some day you'll learn to turn them away. But then again, they are a money maker for you. Always nice to see Lauren. Maybe you can sell the Jeep to the Ford owner? I'd like to know where he can get the alternator cheaper. You go cheap on repairs, you get what you pay for. I never went cheap and I have over 260K on my 2001 Mazda bought new.
1
Could they make it any harder to get to? Is there no common sense in engineering? Good call. What was that about my time? Sorry I fell asleep. :-)
1
Ray got a new toilet too. Good for him. π Always nice to see Lauren.
1
Β @danielrobertson5968Β Maybe they have to pump it out?
1
The more I watch you Ray, the more I can see, you were wasting your time and intelligence at that dealership. Chevy chassis and engine, parts may come from your local GM dealer.
1
Why not put another front entry door in?
1
Really cool to see an old school tear down. Even with the problems you're finding, it's still rebuildable, if you have the bucks. How can that guy look at the rust on the intake and say all it needs is a cylinder honed? Definitely needs a tear down. Dump a gallon of turpentine into it a few times and it will good as new. π Don't know if it's the camera, but I thought I saw a slight bend in one of those push rods. Why did I know, what you would find, when those heads came off? π Great video!
1
Condensed.
1
Always nice to see Wife Unit. "The Corvette will stop it". ππππ
1
Ra-Ray? Really? π€π€¨
1
Β @Calango741Β No problem Cal-Cal.
1
It's a piece of junk Jeep. What do you expect?
1
Watching is fine. It's the listening that is difficult. ππ i.e. gravΒ·iΒ·tas noun: gravitas: dignity, seriousness, or solemnity of manner. Not gravity. π Those wonderful 'engineers', you mentioned, have made it easy to remove the condenser. All you have to do is remove the front end of the car. π€¨ Come on Ray, IT'S EASY! π
1
My 21 year old SUV has less problems than these new, high dollar, cars you get in.
1
Β @polishhotdog933Β You know, you can report this guy. Hit the three dots to the right.
1
Needs a filter relocation it.
1
Why don't you spray the inside with bug spray. Ant's probably got in, in your parking lot. Customer won't like them.
1
Only thing I question about that winch is the cable and pulleys. Seems a bit flimsy. So you've become the 'go to guy' for broken off studs. Word does get around. π
1
Why doesn't the owner take the Jeep to the junk yard and put all the repair money into a good car? The rear is not your call. It's the owners call. Did this guy give you a bucket of money and said "Fix everything!"?
1
Nothing like a Jeep. This car should last. Always nice to see Wife Unit.
1
I checked the price of the Techspray you used. Not cheap. I enjoyed watching something that I couldn't possibly do myself. Good job!
1
Slow time at work today?
1
Goes to show, GM engineering has been sucking for quite a while. why did you need Locktite? Once it's screwed in and installed in the car, it's not going anywhere.
1
"Stoichiometric harmony"? 1:58 What the hell is that? I thought you were just throwing crap out there to see if anybody was listening. I was. 1. concerned with, involving, or having the exact proportions for a particular chemical reaction. a stoichiometric mixture. 2. (of a compound) having its component elements present in the exact proportions indicated by its formula.
1
You repair by assumption?
1
And when did an "A" Frame become a Control Arm?
1
Is that the norm for a tire rotation? I thought it was front to back only. Good Alvin the Chipmunk impression.
1
What happens when the trans is pulled and the weight distribution changes? Oh, that's what happens. π€π
1
Always nice to see Lauren. Dumb question: Why is the flex portion of the pipe on the one side, at the bottom and the flex portion on the other side at the top? Abt. $225 to do an initial fuel fill up of the truck? Wow!
1
So all it needed was 2 new fuses? Not the $700 worth of parts?
1
I'd be looking or nails in the tires after leaving there.
1
No copyright infringements on that Sponge Bob stuff?
1
Hey, it's the tropics. You always get showers in the tropics. Probably should have saved some of those blocks you threw away to fill the hole where that closet, you're about to tear down, will be.
1
You've come a long way, Ray. It's been fun watching progress to where you are today. Plus it's always nice to see Lauren. π
