What asmon and a lot of people don’t understand is teaching yourself a skill online doesn’t mean anything. Just because you know something or how to do something doesn’t mean you can get a job doing it. Employers look for degrees, they don’t care whether or not you have the knowledge, only degrees matter

@TheAndreyCraft You can look at job postings online and see. For me, where I live, even an entry level job for programming lists a university degree as a requirement, sometimes even 1-2 years of experience as well.

@goji5887 I do have experience with it. Every single entry level job posting requires a bachelors degree. I'm sure it varies field to field and location, but from what I seen, most of them require it as a minimum.

@dannyboy5008 But you understand that if everyone has a degree, that is now the baseline you must meet. Employers expect a degree and job experience even for an entry level position

@dannyboy5008 But how are you going to get 10 years work experience when you can’t get hired because you have no degree? See the issue? Just take the time and look at some job postings, you’ll see what I mean
