  10. Overpopulation is not a issue, atleast not in the majority of the world. It is an issue in countries like India, and China. Population collapse is a genuine concern for the rest of the world however.

But Vice doesn't exactly report on positive news, it's always about issues throughout the world. So every story is inherently going to be negative. Mainstream western media doesn't talk about India much at all. Aside from the Delta outbreak which really wasn't India's fault, India has stayed out of the news. Every time I hear India mentioned, it's about how it's the world's largest democracy. I think people in the west have a fairly positive view on India

  38. There is not "far too many humans." Most developed countries have an upcoming demographic crisis.. Birth rates aren't high enough to maintain the population and it just snowballs downwards from there. We are supposed to peak at 9 billion then decrease.

  39.  @KeepItSimpleSailor  You are looking at the most extreme examples of overpopulation.. Brazil and China. Chinese fishing vessels are the only ones doing the overfishing these days. Brazil does have overpopulation, thus farms moving into the Amazon. Also India, Bangladesh and certain other countries have zero waste management. You see videos of rivers of plastic waste going directly into the ocean. Again, extreme example.

China needs to reduce it's dependence on coal, and stop overfishing oceans (follow international law) Brazil needs to sort its economy out and stop expansion into the Amazon, India needs better waste management, etc. These issues do not need to be solved by reducing global population.

  44. The Mexican government is clearly and utterly incapable of controlling their own territory. It almost makes me wish some other country like the US would intervene.. obviously that isn't a great solution but what else could stop these sadistic organizations. Even the legalization of drugs wouldn't stop them, they'd just diversify and find a way to hold on to power
