Kurds are just as oppressed as Greeks and Armenians in Turkey. Don't lump Kurds and Turks together because they share the same religion..

Smyrna had more Greek speakers in it at the time than Athens did.. it was a Greek city. Pontic Greeks were genocided, Armenians were genocided. This is not disputed history in the world, only Turkey disputes it. How can you even begin trying to justify deporting them to Syria? Imagine someone invading your city and deporting you to the deserts of Syria "for your safety" You are beyond brainwashed.

@baciyaniturkiye3352 Turkish people have an average of 5-20% Turkic DNA. There was a study done in 2018. In Istanbul the average is 6.71% Turkic DNA. Up in the north east of the country, right on the edge, the average is less than 1% because these people are Georgians who identify as Turks.

@cram8242 Turks have hardly any Turkic DNA, it's around 5% for most Turks. This is because they are decendants of assimilated Rum (Greeks). The only thing which made you a Turk or a Greek in the ottoman empire was religion. If you were a Muslim, you were a Turk, if you were a Christian, you'd be a Greek or Armenian. Any Greek which converted to Islam would become a Turk. Look into it yourself. Even the population exchange after WW1 was defined this way.

@MehmedtheConqueror1432 The population of Greeks in Smyrna was 150,000 in 1922. They were twice the number of Turks in the city. You clearly know nothing about any of this.. as for the Armenians, the Hamidian massacres happened in 1894 where between 100,000 to 300,000 Armenians were killed. Educate yourself.

In ancient times yes. But "Thracians" haven't existed in a very very long time now. All were assimilated into Greek/Roman culture.

@wizball Yes I understand that. French people are also primarily Gaul in origin but they do not call themselves Gauls. Thracians were invaded and assimilated by the Bulgarians.
