I understand the protests in Russia are small because the majority of people in Russia support the war against Ukraine, but I saw a protest/support for Ukraine rally earlier today from Tbilisi. Only 300-400 people were there. 10’s of 1000’s of Russians in Tbilisi now and only a handful even go out and protest. It gives the impression they are really there for economic reasons, not because they are against what their government has done. I’m 1989 1 million Czechs went to Prague and protested until the puppet communist government gave up and the people won their freedom from the soviets. Today in Moscow 1000 protestors is a large number. Says a lot about how much the Russians are really against what Putin is doing. Most bloggers are just angry about sanctions, it seems…

Russian tourists who go to Prague have been pretty bad. A lot of my friends in Prague hate the 'Russian Invasion' every year- when Russians come for the New Year. Many come and act like they own the place. I have seen drunk Russians get loud and angry and get in fights. I have seen them passed out on couches in hotel lobbies. I was at a bar once and a drunk Russian kept pestering me to buy him shots. I was at a lounge and a drunk Russian took his shoes and socks off and put his feet on a lounge table. Certainly not all Russians are like this, but many Russian tourists are. One of my best friends in Prague is Russian and a bar tender and she hates the Russian Invasion...

@Kurrkabin They are busy drinking and opening bank accounts so they can get paid. No time for protesting or even helping Ukrainian refugees…

@curious_O_o Yeah. It’s like the countries trying to sit on the fence and have it both ways. If you don’t condemn Russia’s actions, then you support them. I used to have respect for Israel, but now that they claim to be neutral in the situation, I have lost all respect I had for them. I understand the 3rd world nations which support Putin’s Russia because they simply don’t know better, but a nation like Israel does and should know better…

@kolobok3882 No there aren't. Nearly all Russian youtubers in English are just crying about IKEA and Mcdonalds and price increases. Zach the Russian is the only Russian YouTuber I have seen in a protest- in Russia and after he left..

@Acinnn They had the Charter 77 group and V. Havel. Russians have a handful of college kids protesting for tik toks...

@kolobok3882 None of the Russian YouTubers in English have come out against the war against Ukraine- except for Zack the Russian. They have either gone dark or make videos crying about sanctions and price increases...
