  3. Simon saying "changes to the treaty" is pure propaganda. Discussion of the new fandangled "principles" interpretation and its use in law is all anyone is after, to misrepresent as a change to the treaty it is hackery at its worst, and is a great example of why people dont feel represented by NZ media anymore

I know you're only repeating the line that One News came up with and encouraged when you say "change the treaty", and are really just trolling at this point... but try not to be so easily influenced and corruptible ok?

  22. @Kult365  Hey, I understand that being special, and a victim... can seem a more attractive option than having the same rights and duties as all New Zealanders, but ultimately it means sitting and yelling and pouting with your hand out while the rest get on with it and work on improving their own outcomes as best they can.

  26. I believe Apirana Ngata knew more than the woke activists in polytechnics who come up with this stuff these days. He was a maori born in 1870, and his interpretation of the treaty carries more weight in my opinion, and happens to align exactly with David Seymours.

  28. It was named in a way to keep the ideological link people have of water=maori=sacred so the idea of handing over control of sewerage etc to maori didn't require such a mental leap

If I question a jehova's witness's interpretation of the bible, I am not "rewriting the bible". Try and think about this for a little while and see if you can understand the difference.
