  1. What surprises me is that some engines are known to give a lot of trouble (and expensive ones), yet people still keep buying them. I prefer to pay more, but in exchange I want something to last years.

  2.  @mikecumbo7531  If so many people keep complaining about a particular engine, that is pretty clear. Whatever the type of vehicle and brand, would you be willing to pay potentially thousands more in repairs?
