  1. When Nicko replaced Clive pretty much everybody was saying Iron Maiden wouldn't sound the same. Forty two years later, I have joined the bandwagon and say the same. Only a very exceptionally gifted drummer can make the band sound the same. Whoever the band has chosen has some giant shoes to fill. Thank you, Nicko for this amazing adventure. It has been a huge privilege to watch you play so many iconic songs, the joy you brought to the live shows and for being a wonderful human being always with a smile. A gigantic and very heartfelt Thank You.

  2. I love Nicko McBrain exquisite drumming to bits, but he doesn't have the raw talent or speed of Clive Burr. You just have to love early Iron Maiden.
