  1. The Portuguese language is a mixture of several languages. Starting with Lusitanian, Latin, Celtic, Iberian, Greek, Arabic, and Eastern languages brought in through the Barbarian invasions. Also, some English has been taken in, more now since personal computers and internet were made available. Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese are as different as are American English and British English. Just different ways of saying the same thing.
