  2.  @EdNashsMilitaryMatters  The first time I saw this plane, it was in a comic book. As far as I know, even suffering from structural issues (like losing the tail section, or the wings mount), when it worked, it was a awesome piece of British engineering. It could make a stand against the Me 109, specially because of the brutal firepower. And I believe you are right, when you say it was one of the biggest "what if", had the Brits changed the engine to the Merlin. Kind regards and stay safe.
