  1. The desire of the people of the 5 Oblasts self-determination and maybe more areas need to be considered. The Texicans broke from Mexico, fought a war, formed their own state, Texas, and later joined with USA. (very briefly stated) Why not then the Russian ethnic peoples, by self-determination, formerly of Ukraine, chose to join Russia, rather than be ethnically cleansed and murdered, and their rights should be recognised. If it was OK for Czech and Slovakia to separate, and for Texas to join the USA, why not the ethnic 5 oblasts allowed their rights too, that is democracy.
    6
