Bless him from me, my father died of Multiple Myeloma a blood cancer. Only 1 in 10,000,000 apparently get the illness.
My great uncle was a Royal Marine Commando who landed on D-Day and saw his oppo, his best mate killed on the beach in front of him and fought all the way into Germany via Holland etc, he saw hell too, later on being a Don-R a Despatch Rider working alone in the latter part of ww2 in Europe. He shared some of what he saw with me, as a TA soldier i wanted to know more of the reality, during which we both cried, sharing something i will never forget, but which eventually saved my life too. As a health professional today i know how physical illness and ptsd must have affected them so deeply after ww2.
They fought and suffered to rid Europe of nazis, yet today the governments of USA UK EU support nazis, in Ukraine, an insult to all those of ww2 and unforgiveable.
My salute to your father and yourself and to all out there with the same or similar experiences.
Let us not forget the homeless, injured and sick veterans out there abandoned by our mis-government.
Finally my salute and thanks to all those who landed on D-Day and after to whom we owe our freedoms today, so much of which the establishment try to destroy
God bless you and yours, stay safe and wise.
