For any government to openly try to silence or stifle protest or accusations or legitimate questions or established legal rights or international human rights it means that there is something fundamentally wrong with that government or organisation, we can all see that every day, but history shows that the eventual end for them is oblivion. Like the bullies at school or in the workplace they will eventually get thwarted and shamed and their aim to make people cower will backfire on them. I see signs already of that happening all over UK and Europe too. The criminals in ww2 were eventually defeated and brought to trial, that will happen again.
