  1. Pre 1912 the Kaiser of Germany wanted a railway line from Baghdad to Berlin to supply oil for his war-economic growth. They began building it, the route passed through what is Syria today and Serbia. WW1 stopped Germany getting the oil. WW2 Germany occupied the Balkans and Serbia became a German controlled region, Kossovo was under the Italians who between themselves and Germany forced and killed thousands of Serbs from their lands and invited the Albanians in to illegally occupy Serbian lands. Germany tried to get Turkey to come in as an ally (as it was in ww1) but they stayed neutral. Germany raped Serbia of millions of tons of minerals. Since then other parties (USA?) have tried to get a pipeline through from the Gulf to Germany (Biden blurted out "i wanted to build a railway.....uh uh a pipeline from the Gulf to Germany" )and it goes via Syria, Turkey, Serbia, and what is conveniently sitting on Serbian land....US forces Camp Bondsteel. Syria said no so Assad and Syria (like Serbia) became demonised and a target. Then other NATO nations jumped on the bandwagon. Interesting point about the Trepca mine in Serbia which before ww2 was very rich and owned by a British businessman, who in ww2 helped finance MI6, and this is just another source of conflict. Trepca features strongly in the breakup of Jugoslavia and the occupation and theft of Kossovo too. Its all on the line of the railway line and proposed pipeline.
