@richardhockey8442 potentially lots of people if the "diverse" candidate does not consider the people on the ground and ejects over a city rather than aiming the aircraft into open country as many ethnically English aircrew have done over the years. I can think of one great example when one of the Avro Vulcans had a major fire, the crew baled out, the Pilot, a traditionally educated and trained Englishman, remained and aimed the aircraft out to sea before ejecting.

The trouble is that in reality it does have its negative effects. There is also the added danger that if the "chosen" rather than selected and earned person is shot down, how are they going to be treated when taken prisoner, especially if female, as was discovered by a pow in the Iraq war who was a female helicopter medical evac doctor who was sexually abused by the Iraqis who captured her.
