It comes from the use of Ledgers (books) used to document the finances of a company, black ink was used for positive/ credit/ transactions/ balances and red ink was used for negative /debit/ balances, in Accountancy. They also used an Abacus to do the finances, my grandmother was an accountant, and showed me how it was done.

  2. I have never actually seen a black person, I have seen thousands of various degrees of brown, as an NHS employee, so logically the upset over the term black is actually inaccurate. Maybe they need to be more educated in colour awareness, and change BLM to "Multi-coloured hues of brown lives matter"
