@miloradnovakovic7981 My great uncle by marriage to an English aunt came to UK 1948, was a Royalist soldier of King Petar II ,from Ravna Gora with General Draza, also my other great uncle by marriage to another aunt was a member of the Royal Jugoslav Navy , a Petty Officer, blown off of his ship into the water, pulled out and captured and tortured by the natsees, he later escaped and joined the Chetniks with General Draza, they fought Germans, Italians, Ustache and others finally escaping to the British areas. They got very little help from the Allied forces when fighting and even had to rely on paper bandages as no supplies were dropped to them. I have my great uncles cap badge and also photos. Both of them were from the region of Pirot in Serbia. They also helped many allied aircrew to escape working on the Ravna Gora area. My great uncle carried a wounded man on his shoulder for hundreds of miles. Later to Austria then Germany at Wolfsberg with British forces and asked if they wanted to go to UK or USA they chose UK. I knew many of these men who were DP Displaced Persons after 1945, as family friends, they were loyal to King Peter until they died, and good Orthodox Christian hard working, honourable men.
