I read that the USSR knew what was coming and played for time to re arm knowing Hitler would try to take Russia out as the Kaiser had done in ww1 by paying the Bolsheviks to cause revolution. It makes sense and is an alternative narrative, as Soviets knew the winter would stall Hitler in any attack.

@benjauron5873 Depends on the weapon and the bullet, the original M-16 bullets deformed and did what you stated above. The rifle supposedly used by Oswald was different, the other bullets which obviously hit JFK from different directions as far as i know have always been kept secret, unless there is evidence i have not read. There are many weapons that could have done that to Kennedy. it is interesting though that one of the Secret Service guys apparently had an M-16 which he was not very familiar with.
