  5. India was not even a nation before the British companies ie East India, went there, before the British government forces went there years later either. It was independent states who often fought each other, which the British stopped and eventually led to India being an actual nation with all the modern benefits they built on to make India a great nation today. A lot of commonwealth troops and Indian troops fought and died side by side to keep India free of the evil of the Japanese empire.
