The RCAF had a great film called "FIRST AID FOR AIRCREW" which was about a crashed C-47 crew and the type of injuries treated, is there any chance you might find it? I was an RAF cadet when i first saw it amongst a class of 30, plus officers, by the time it ended i was the only one in the room, as the others had to leave from shock, or unable to face what they saw (simulations), apart from the Instructor and projectionist. I absorbed all the details. I took a First Aid course, became an instructor and later a medic and health professional as well as a reservist with the British forces. That film was a diamond, a real shocker but so realistic. I bet your viewers would love it.

Ironically it was the manufacturing of shells and explosives that led to the use of Nitro Glycerine or Glyceryl Tri Nitrate as a treatment for Angina, as due to the effects of the nitro in explosives very few workers ever suffered from the illness. They did suffer from "nitro headache" which was due to the effect that it opened up blood vessels. Some people also had their skin take on a yellow tinge. My great grand mother worked in munitions in WW1 in UK, later became a nurse, and in WW2 nursed and also worked on sewing the fabric on aircraft in particular the Hurricane. After ww2 she was a nurse and used GTN with patients on a regular basis.

Rescue boats of RAF Maritime Branch experimented on, designed, evaluated, redesigned, engines improved and worked on by hand, tested at sea, and proved to work by none other than Aircraftsman Ross, also known as Colonel T. E. Lawrence.....Lawrence of Arabia who thank goodness and his genius and foresight was also Lawrence of Great Britain before 1935. It took the War Office until 1940 to get the service fully available, but 245 aircrew died at sea because there was no rescue service. Typical lack of preparedness by UK government and even worse now.
