Apparently the government or army are proposing to recruit more Gurkhas, 700, and form them into a surveillance Regiment of the Royal Artillery to send to Ukraine due to shortages of indigenous Brit troops, So now they want to waste some of the most loyal, professional and courageous troops we could ever get. A few years ago they were cutting back on them, one Company was slated to be part of a new Gurkha battalion now tagged onto the so called Ranger Regiment, another is with another Ranger battalion. New Gurkha battalion was not formed, so how come suddenly they want another one too. Where does the money come from to pay for all this when our finances are supposedly one big enormous black hole. Afghanistan cost the uk well over 66 billion pounds, what will the insanity of our pm cause with his lunatic ideas on Ukraine.

  3.  @fabianwylie8707  By a very slim margin "it was a close run thing" and it glaringly showed the flaws in our forces, and we are back to that stage now, possibly worse.
