@davidcampbell3642 They did fight for Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaya and other areas, but were outnumbered and outmanoeuvred, then ordered to surrender by HMG, but also fought as best they could while pow's. I knew one man who suffered for the rest of his life as a result. They were far from being cowards. During those years 1940-43 there were many actions in which British and other allied troops fought very bravely and successfully too. Churchill was a great soldier and leader but also very flawed and made many mistakes, if he did say that about British troops he did them a great disservice imho

@SJG-nr8uj Nine years of aggression by Ukraine after an illegal coup arranged by Biden and Nuland and others, against the people of eastern Ukraine thousands murdered, maimed, their whole lives destroyed because they stood up for democracy, the democratically elected President forced out, while nazis took over. I am an OSCE member and your comment is so far from the reality that i have read in OSCE and other reports since 2013. Ukraine's forces are terrorists, war criminals, corrupt, and have broken international laws, the Hague and Geneva conventions, the Laws of war and armed conflict especially those that cover non combatants and medical personnel, other international human rights, rights to religion etc etc laws and even Ukraine's own laws. Putin tried for over 20 years to avoid this especially so in the last 9 years. This war is the fault of the west and their intention is a land grab and a resource rape of Ukraine and then Balkanisation and the rape of all of Russia's resources. They have already got their major cartels into many of Ukraine's resource bases and industries, while Zelensky and others profit by it. If you think they are not nazis watch Zelensky glorify a Ukrainian former Waffen SS man in the Canadian parliament.

@budbud2509 In the case of Ukraine he has a valid reason, the genocide, war crimes, nazis murdering ethnic Russian citizens of Ukraine for 10 years now, 8 when he went into the country. Defending abused people is not a crime in my book, and as an OSCE registered member i have read of all the reports of Ukrainian attacks and artillery barrages on civilians, . By the way the people of eastern Ukraine actually stood up for a democratically elected leader it was the western Ukrainians who began this war via an illegal (under international law, coup/regime change) coup thus breaking democracy and not as the propaganda would have us believe standing up for "freedom, democracy, human rights, or fighting for Europe and the world" all of which is total BS. As for Putin planning to invade Europe or having to fight Russia in Ukraine so that they do not have to fight them in Ohio, California, Alaska, or Florida which is pure bs paranoia.

Words of wisdom you will never hear from the paria-ment politicians. Same applies to German industry and Rheinmetall who have a massive contract for British forces vehicles, well done USA when you blew up the pipeline you fuffed the defence forces of your main proxies. Bidet and Nuland did a great job when they started the illegal coup in Ukraine, causing all this chaos and expense didn't they, and our idiots in London make it worse every day. You said it mate, and you are right. Diversity, as in Indians, ruining our steel industry via Tata, isn't it pathetic.

@davidcampbell3642 My English great uncle served in two Scots Regiments 1939-1950 and both Scots and English served as brothers, under that same flag in union. Not all Scots feel as you do, and i also have some Scots blood history from the Highlands, just as he did.

@davidcampbell3642 I agree it was one of them, i knew one of the soldiers who became a prisoner and spent 4 years in a Jap pow camp, or should i say slave camp, and suffered for the rest of his life. Bad times.
