  2. I happen to think Texas Techs stadium is nice, but anyways as a New Mexico fan, our stadium is lame and basic but it isn’t as bad as a power 5 team called Kansas.

  8. I live in South Alabama, Miami is a 8 hr drive from here, it’s not culturally southern at all but the SEC schools are gonna be closer than other schools. Miami don’t really fit in anywhere in the country.

  9. If Idaho football has only won 3 games since 2010 and still attracts 14,000 fans a game in a 15,000 seat stadium that’s impressive Although it’s hard to believe they average 14,000 fans. That has to be wrong

  12.  @matthewhuszarik4173  I’d say Fresno St would be better than Nebraska in the big 10. Minus Oregon, every other team in the PAC is basically a Kansas St. BYU dominated the PAC last year. So would Baylor and Iowa St and Oklahoma St and TCU. And Cincinnati and UCF. Pac 12 is slightly better than the Mountain West Conference

  26. As a fan of New Mexico I agree, the basketball got intense with the rivalries between Utah, New Mexico, BYU, SDSU and UNLV, those were good years. Hopefully the MWC stays intact otherwise UNM might end up in the Conference USA

Yeah it’s a real blood bath playing Ole Miss, Missouri, Tenn, Arkansas, Miss St, and Then you have Auburn which is usually in the middle, sometimes they can beat good teams sometimes they lose to sucky teams. The SEC aint all that minus the top 3 teams. Then you got the strong OOC games against Samford, New Mexico St and Mercer

  31. As a fan of the MWC, I think WSU and Oregon St are basically lower tier MWC teams, they are nobodies to everyone else in the country

  33.  @jaimelannister1797  damn I didn’t realize he was that young. But as we’ve seen over and over again, these long term contracts are only good for 5-6 years and then the player declines. We rarely ever see a long term contract that was worth it. These MLB players keep making an insane amount of money and it gets passed on down to the average Joe fans that want to pay to see a game.

  41. As a New Mexico fan I would love to see them move up to the big 12. But also bring a few MWC teams with them. But the New Mexico market is small and I’m sure the academics aren’t on par with the big boys and are historically terrible at football. Nobody ever cares about New Mexico

  42.  @twentytwomiles238  yeah I don’t know how West Virginia got to where they are today or how they turned their small state into a large fan base for WV football. NM does like it’s high school football and NFL, and I’m sure if the Lobos were good they would support them too but NM has always been more of a NFL state, lots of dedicated Bronco and Cowboy fans. I love Lobos basketball, we’ve had some good teams before but they’ve been down the past several years. No one wants NM and I don’t think too many NM high school kids actually go D1, recruiting class is small in NM. I guess no one cares about the Albuquerque market when the state is poor and surrounded by booming states with popular cities and universities.

  43. Maybe a step down for them in their eyes but from a MWC perspective they are nobodies, most MWC teams beat up on those two teams every year when they play them. They might as well be Northern Arizona. Not only that but to any other conference they are nobodies as well, what do they have to offer a big conference? They gotta get in where they fit in. Maybe the WCC.

  50.  @Chiefsfansince-qb1kt  yeah I pay alot of attention to college sports, college bball is my fav. I will say this, I’m not too crazy about KU’s basketball arena either. I’ve never been there but I’ve seen pictures and Google maps of it. But I do respect that venue because of the history behind it and I like the retro nature of the arena. It’s a step back in time. Same with Hinkle Fieldhouse that Butler plays at. The stadiums I have been to are the Chiefs and the Royals though. I randomly made a trip to KC once to take in a game. I love the Royals stadium, one of my favorites in MLB. And I have seen the Jayhawks play at the Longhorns several years back, lots of Jayhawks fans at the game in Austin but they lost that game. Sorry again but I’d put New Mexico States football stadium above KU. Now we lack everything in New Mexico, usually the worst and forgotten at a lot of things but we don’t have the worst football facilities, they are bad but there are other worst off.
