  5. It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t. If you do something it was cause lots of deaths for multiple countries and cause an even bigger war but if you do nothing you show that a takeover of a weaker country can easily be done with only sanctions as consequences. It opens the door for future invasions and more wars.
