Cops don’t typically mess with the homeless but the homeless are often in situations where they get questioned by police or find themselves a victim of a crime. Cops are also aware that criminals can hide out among homeless. There is a reward for them, a homeless person would turn them in quickly

  6.  @theo.g.441  I don’t know if I would, when I was 20, I found a purse in a dumpster, I recognized the ID in the wallet because it was a lady at a convienence store near my house, I returned the purse and got questioned as if I stole it. I said never again. Last year I sold a truck to someone that apparently bought it with drug money, cops asked me about the transaction and I told them how it went down. Cops wanted me to testify and I said I wasn’t comfortable cause the guy knows where I live and obviously did some crime to get caught in the truck, instead of caring about my family, law enforcement serves me papers to appear to testify and says I will be arrested if I don’t. That right there is pathetic.

  10.  @Dee-oj5zm  but even in Mexico if the cops see you and they know your wanted they will arrest you and send you back to the USA. It happens often with fugitives in the border states avoiding arrest or trial

  13.  @jusdon8711  absolutely so true!! They will also influence witnesses to speak up even when they say they are scared to talk or their life will be in danger. They don’t care, as long as they get what they want. Couple years ago I sold a truck, the guy apparently bought it with drug proceeds then used it in another crime but they wouldn’t tell me what it was. Anyways, I told the cops about the transaction when they asked and I said I don’t wanna be involved in anything, the guy knows where I live and I don’t want any potential trouble. They eventually sent someone out to serve me papers and said if I don’t show up to testify then I can be arrested. The cops knew I wasn’t comfortable but said the guy isn’t allowed to have contact with me but like that stops anyone. Anyways this is an example of how cops don’t care about peoples safety, it’s about getting that conviction and arrest at any cost

  14.  @adamcasas6519  prison is supposed to rehabilitate to help people learn from mistakes and how to better themselves because these criminals will become our neighbors at some point. Do you want a hardened criminal in your neighborhood or one that has been rehabilitated?

  15.  @adamcasas6519  there is more than 1 issue, you gotta be open minded, I use to think like you until I aged and married a woman that use to be a Corrections officer. You would be surprised! Anyways there is too much to say and I don’t feel like typing that much. Google can help with the whole prison rehab thing but that’s just one of many issues.

I wanna add, this is in New Mexico, my sister rented to an illegal, it was a family and my sister wanted to help them out, long story short, they stayed 4 months, didn’t pay a single rent payment, trashed the place inside and out, and stole bathroom sink and cabinet and bathtub. Then bailed out of state and there is nothing she can do now but pick up the their pieces.

  49. I’ve seen in Biloxi MS and Panama City Beach FL where new homes are built right across the street from the ocean, you can tell previously hurricanes had beat up whatever structures were there but I guess it’s a cycle or rebuilding
