An awesome place to film and totally different than anything we’ve seen in America would be Parajito Mesa just southwest of Albuquerque, about 500 people live there and it’s basically a settlement of immigrants with shacks and no utilities of any sort on dirt roads. Also the small town of Meadow Lake is a interesting place to see. Lots of rural poverty in New Mexico.

Charli ain’t far from the border, the Juarez neighborhoods run right up into the El Paso neighborhoods. From another scene it kinda looks like Juarez in the horizon because of the layout of the city in a grid like pattern. From the interstate in El Paso you can look into Juarez and see far off in the distance of how far the city actually stretches

Places like Beaumont,TX, Baton Rogue, Gulfport MS, Mobile AL and Pensacola Fl while all different still have similar type houses, black moldy concrete, humid greenery everywhere, a few palm trees scattered around, and a swampy feeling.

I went to Sabor Tropical Market and DD’s Discounts lol It was on 79th st and Biscayne blvd. on the eastern side of the city. not sure what neighborhood that is considered. I ate some Peruvian food in Hialeah. Went to some mall on the water near downtown, went down Calle Ocho. I wish I had more time so many things I wanted to see. Oh and I ordered a ghetto ass pizza from a flyer that was placed under my hotel. The place didn’t even have an address, I think someone just cooked it at home and delivers to the tourists in mediocre hotels.

  166. Crazy stat of the day- St.Louis had 114 homicides in just June, July and August. There are a few neighborhoods in St Louis that have 10-15 homicides, and neighborhoods are small there. Toronto has 3 million people and average around 80 homicides a year. Tiny St. Louis with a population just over 300,000 had more homicides in 2 months than Toronto has in an entire year.

I went up north a few years back and was surprised and still am, at how everything seems to be much cleaner up there,(minus the inner cities of course) but a lot of the houses are clean, the streets, the landscape and the towns seem to be maintained more. I grown up in New Mexico, it’s dirty and poor. I live in Alabama now, I do think it’s better than NM but in alot of places still has that dirty look to it, black mold through the town, green mold or moss growing randomly, trash around, unkept up buildings and houses, overgrown vegetation. Especially Louisiana, Louisiana looks moldy!

  230. That part of Juarez he’s in has hills, the mountains in the background at 4:50 are in El Paso. You can see the taller buildings in downtown El Paso also in the background. The interstate runs through El Paso with the mountains/ El Paso on one side and Juarez on the other. You can easily look into Juarez neighborhoods just by driving down the interstate, it’s that close.

Help people with mental issues, easy access to counseling, fix our judicial system, end for profit prisons, help with repairs for crumbling houses, build shelters in tornado prone areas. There are so many things we could spend American tax dollars on rather than bobbing Afghanistan buildings then rebuilding them, we’ll foot the bill for Ukraine also. I can guarantee that. Some People have no problem throwing away trillions of dollars to foreign countries for weapons and aid but have a hard time wanting to help out people in poverty or the elderly on strict income. I’d rather help a poor family repair their roof than buy a few machine guns for another country

Some have more ghettos while some have more middle class and upscale. Some have lots of land and some have minimal land left to build on. I’ve lived in Albuquerque and San Antonio, both cities are lower class/middle class cities, not alot of corporate businesses or wealthy people. Meanwhile in Miami the poor sections are shrinking and turning to fancy living areas. The money pouring into that city is outrageous. I’ve seen more exotic cars in Miami in three days than I have my entire life.

  436. Kutthroat General MPLS actually has one of the lowest murder rates for a city. Tulsa oklahoma which is smaller has double the homicides of MPLS. It may be hood to you but to everyone else that lives in other cities, its not that bad at all.

We get over 60 inches of rain a year. Mushrooms pop up everywhere cause the soil is so fertile and damp.

  443. I’ve seen some of the houses in the poor part of Juarez, they are block walls on dirt roads with tin and plywood roofs. Dirt poor!! Makes Detroit and Philly houses in the hood look like mansions. This is not the worst of Juarez, And the killers in Juarez won’t hesitate to take you out in broad daylight no matter who is around, they will set up blockades, hit you from every angle, they will chop you up, some are trained to eat flesh of their enemies, they will take out political leaders, mayors, journalists, whole families and so on, much different that your typical American gangster. Not only that but you also have to watch out for the cops, they try to get money out of you.

  454. Gentrification taking over in Newark and the crime rate is fallen. Same with Camden. These two cities use to be some of the worst of the worst. As soon as you heard the word Newark and Camden you instantly associated it with being dangerous. These cities are lucky to be close enough to NYC which went through a drastic change itself and became super expensive and safer. Maybe one day Chicago will prosper, gentrify and Gary Indians can prosper again…… yeah probably not

Most politicians in America don’t care what happens to poor neighborhoods, if it’s something that will effect their upper middle class or upscale neighborhoods something will be done immediately, otherwise these people are basically free to kill each other year after year generation after generation. Imprison the dads, kids grow up fatherless, cause trouble and get sent to prison too, the cycle repeats itself and no one tries to correct it, no one even tried in the prison system to prevent people from coming back. These are throw away people.
