I agree, we had a trouble teen living with us, she was 13, she had a happy home here, she got so pissed and still holds it against her mom for getting married to me. We’ve got her counseling, hospitalized because she was having suicidal thoughts, her mom helped her with homework, gave her positive pep talks but she didn’t want to hear any of it. Once we fixed a problem she would create another. Even if we cave in to what she wanted she would have certain issues with that. She wants us to accept her actions and not have any day or household rules. She got arrested for attacking me and her mom.
Anyways her dad is a pos, he manipulates her and bad talks her mom all the time, she wants to impress him. He’s had a few charges for domestic violence against household members. He has manipulated her to leave a happy home here to live with him so he don’t have to pay child support, he has her now and is still raising hell with courts and putting false things in her head. Dad has advised her not to talk about anything about him to counselors. And she will not.
My wife was in the military and was deployed three times, he used this to tell her that mom abandoned her and was with other guys all the time, horrible things like that. It’s hard to fix certain kids like that as a parent that wants the best, it’s competing against the devil.

Something has to be done!!! Think about it, the inmate looses his wife, gf, mom dad and his kids, has to watch his back daily, has to roommate with other hardened criminals, loss of freedom, and when he gets out it’s not I over, it’s usually parole or probation and he now is labeled as a felon which makes it hard to make a life outside of prison, family suffers for all sorts of reasons, financial and emotional and with the phone scam charges, not everyone in prison is bad but prison is not designed to rehabilitate, but to keep you down.
