I admit that Queensland hasn't had the best record; and naming dams after "the Fitzgerald - paper bag" Joe Bjelke-Petersen and "catch me if you can" Russell Hinze didn't help. Ah yes, the old Minister for Racing and the Minister for Police Hinze (no conflict of interest there) ; and you thought ScoMo was criminal when he was holding multiple portfolios.

@adamwest1138 : Yea, I miss the days when the National party smuggled their Treasurer into the courts to act as foreman on Bjelke-Petersen's trial. The Fitzgerald Inquiry was like shining a light on a nest of cockroaches; watching them scurry was almost a sport. Having a Queensland police officer (probably Dutton) verbal you until you confessed; those were the days. Nothing like that happens anymore; Queensland today may be honest but it's actually quite dull compared to the gerrymandering Bjelke-Petersen police-state. And then there was old Flo professing her Christianity and baking her pumpkin scones while her husband was running a den of thieves; it's that always the way? (I know Morrison professes to be a Christian, but does Dutton?) No more Terry Lewis (Minister for Police post Hinze) and his criminal associates in the Queensland police force being overtly paid off by Queensland criminals. Well, that's' the criminals that weren't already on the payroll. Unlike most other politicians, they certainly didn't feel the need hide behind the cloak of "Plausible Deniability"; did they? I expect they thought they owned the place so they didn't have to. Speaking about a name from that past, do you remember Joe’s “friend” old Sir Edward Lyons. Lyons was pulled up in his Rolls and taken into custody where he was shown to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.12 by a novice police officer? The duty inspector and supervising sergeant told him to "forget about the matter and take Sir Edward Lyons home". I wonder where that order came from and what ever happened to that police officer. Lyons was also chairman of the Queensland TAB (betting agency for Queensland racing – see Russell Hinze) and a former National Party trustee; Lyons almost did own Queensland. However, you can’t forget about Campbell. He tried to introduce electronic voting; he must have thought the paper version didn't reflect his interests. I suspect Campbell was attempting to replicate the electronic voting in the US; and hasn't that worked so well. Combine electronic voting with gerrymandering and the US Super-delegates and you can dial up the result you want (just ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz). The US has such a "credible" electoral process! If you get a chance, watch the YouTube video "Hacking Democracy".
