Just Google the phrase, "BRINGING REAL MUSCLE TO BEAR AGAINST SYRIA" and select the CIA reading room option, and you will see there were CIA plans to attack Syria at least as far back as 1983. It is probable the US planned to attack Wesley Clark's list of "Seven Countries in Five Years" decades before 911.
