It is plutocrats like the Kochs that are pushing for the overthrow of the Venezuelan government. After all, the Koch's Corpus Christi refineries in the Gulf have been specifically designed to refine Venezuelan heavy crude. You can learn an excellent lesson about "vote trading" from Ron's son Rand. When the warmonger Pompeo's confirmation in the Trump administration was thought assured, Rand believed it was safe to be critical of Pompeo to bolster his non-interventionist credentials in the minds of the rubes. But when the votes for Pompeo faltered and Pompeo's confirmation was in question, Rand had to rapidly change his mind and vote for Pompeo's confirmation. Only in these rare circumstances will the treachery of Libertarian vote-trading be exposed. Like abortion with the religious right by the GOP, the Libertarian strategists understand that non-interventionism is one of the few political facets they can exploit to remain credible.
