  1. Beware of those who use "Nanny State" as a pejorative. "Nanny State" is just a trope used by the elites to undermine public services (e.g. NHS) and privatize public assets; similar to Thatcher's "There is no such thing as society". "Nanny State" is designed to generate a specific response from the public, as if the government is belittling you saying you can't even look after yourself. And sadly this is the response they usually get from the gullible. A "Nanny State" by definition, would work for the interests of the people and not impose an irrational doctrine on their population to exploit public tax revenue for profit. Please don't confuse "Nanny State" with "Corporate State".
