  1. Peter, I know the U. S. has a printing press but it has something much more influential to prop up the U. S. dollar – the petrodollar.  If the U. S. can control the value of the dollar by ensuring it is the universal currency in which oil is traded, there will always be a demand for the dollar. This demand and the need for foreign countries to hold dollars as reserve will ensure dollar stability. Maybe you should start talking about the real risks to the U. S. dollar. Discuss how the Saudi role in 911 has muddied the waters of the Saudi-petrodollar relationship and why the Saudis are selling some interest in their petroleum assets. There are also real threats to the U. S. dollar. The alternate monetary system that is being created by the BRICS nations could present a real threat to the dollar in the long term. There are concerns that the current infiltration by U. S. government agencies on the leaders of the remaining BRICS countries will not result in the desired coups to destabilize the alternate monetary system that is being formed. Forget about the idiocy of printing money; if the coups on the BRICS should fail the alternate to the World Bank and the IMF could pose a real threat to the U. S. dollar. You can spend as much as you like on the U. S. military but unless you are willing to risk blatant aggression, there is little that you can do to support the dollar in the eyes of the world. I believe we all would to like to know more of what is actually propping up the U. S. dollar and how fragile the scaffolding is.

  3. It’s interesting and confusing to hear Schiff talk about Roosevelt’s new deal as a benefit to the Middle Class. Remember Schiff is a Libertarian; Libertarianism’s 20th Century US genesis was the American Liberty League; The American Liberty League was created to fight alongside the National Association of Manufacturers AGAINST Roosevelt’s New Deal. In fact, Wall Street and the Robber Barons fought so hard against the New Deal, they engineered a coup against the Roosevelt administration in 1933 that was only neutralized by Major General Smedley Butler. Look up the Congressional hearing to find the truth. So one again, actual history is contradicting Schiff’s narrative. He is attempting to do what all subversive and deceptive Wall Street obsequious sycophantic employees do; manipulate the rubes to work against their own best interests. You will find this strategy in the Trump (Mercer) Administration, the Libertarian Movement, and the John Birch Society. In fact most fascist movements that pretend to have Main Street’s interests at heart. The other strategy is to target the government for blame. Sure, most government departments are incompetent like all bureaucracies, but the people in charge today don’t work for the people, they work for the interests of the corporate sector. So when Schiff uses the tactic of blaming the government, he hopes the rubes are too stupid to join the dots. If Schiff was honest, he would call it what it is, a rising fascist corporate government. Will these rubes ever acknowledge the accelerating fascism, do they actually want to live in a fascist system, or will they just go along to get along.

  4. But except for military hardware, the US produces very little. The reason it has such a large GDP is because it is a financialized economy dependent on other nations sending their money to Wall Street to speculate on the US dollar, a shaky bond market, and an overinflated stock market. Whereas other nations actually have manufacturing industries; the US now manufactures very little. Many of these industries were exported from the US to take short-term advantage of cheaper labor, no labor laws, and low infrastructure costs. The US is doomed; the majority of the population only earns a meager income, the cost of living is far beyond most other countries, it has no real infrastructure, it doesn't produce anything for sale in domestic markets, and spends much of its tax revenue on the Military Industrial Complex. The corporations own the media and continually pump out propaganda to distract from Washington corruption. Even the government has been privatized with corporations installing their puppets throughout all branches of government subverting the last remnants of democracy. You can vote all you want, but the only winner will be Wall Street. Most at the top understand their fate, but there are a few hundred million still ignorant of the final quarter. No wonder the owners of the United States (Plutocrats) are thinking of tossing the chessboard and starting a war with China to distract the rubes; and I wouldn't like to be around when the thermo-nukes start flying. The best suggestion I have is to pack your bags and put up a sign, "Would the last person out the door, please turn off the lights". Maybe you should be booking your non-return flights to Puerto Rico right now.
