In the oncoming world of serfdom for the many, these three quotes from Buffet, Emanuel, and Brzezinski should always be remembered:
“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”
― Warren Buffett
"You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."
― Rahm Emanuel
"Today, its easier to kill a million people, than it is to control a million people"
― Zbigniew Brzezinski
And while you are joining the dots, just remember Brzezinski was Obama's Foreign Policy advisor and Emanuel was Obama's Chief of Staff.
In August 2007, Brzezinski endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
In one of his speeches, Obama introduced Brzezinski as "one of our most outstanding thinkers".
So now the Empire is now turning on its most vulnerable; vote all you want, nothing is going to change.

Professor Wolff is correct; the oligarchs have been very successful at demonizing the government in the minds of the rubes. And while they have been demonizing the government, they have been slowly annexing and subsuming that same government until one could only conclude the government of (by, and for) the people is now private. That's right; the government is now private; a joint-venture between multiple private interests (usually financial, energy, military, and medical); and democracy is nothing more than an illusion to keep the rubes quiescent! Forget about Trump and Russiagate; they were just distractions to manipulate the rubes while the Democratic Establishment intentionally inflicted them with fear paralyzing "Trump Derangement Syndrome". As Buffet said, “There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” The oligarchs no longer have any restriction to their power. It's now over; the "left" has been shown to be totally impotent, and the oligarchs have clearly shown that in a corrupt population where the rubes blindly trust the traitor class (e.g. Media, Hollywood, and Politicians), money dominates principles.
By now you must realize; those who ranted against the government (e.g. Reagan- "The government is the problem") in the early years were the ones actually working for those same oligarchs who eventually subsumed the government and have taken control. You have to admire the effectiveness of their tactics (e.g. Citizens United) and the audacity of the execution (e.g. Koch & the Clinton-Gore "Third Way" Democrats). Imagine how naïve the “left” must have been to blindly accept the promise of Clinton on NAFTA, “I believe that NAFTA will create a million jobs in the first five years of its impact.” While the Progressives slept, the Oligarchs covertly took over; just like in "Invasion of the Body-snatchers". And Professor Wolff is correct - the real problems have only just started. Welcome to serfdom folks!

Don't these fools understand the government and the media are owned by the plutocrats. The plutocrats use their media for propaganda and their government for control of the majority; and both are used to extract wealth from the people and give it to the plutocrats (owners)? Those who said they "trust these institutions" must be either working for these institutions or they are making money from the influence of these institutions.
George Carlin understood this scam years ago:
"But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason education sucks, and it’s the same reason that it will never, ever, ever be fixed. It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got. Because the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls."
Download and read the whole quote from Carlin and you may learn something.
