Saagar is Factually Wrong about the attacks on the US Postal Service not being a Conspiracy. If you use the database available at the Bernie Sanders’ website; you can search the original Libertarian platform used by David Koch in his run for VP in 1980. Just Google, "What Do the Koch Brothers Want?" and select the one page on Sanders' site. You will find a Wish List of the Kochs; yes the same Kochs who introduced "Citizens United" to screw the people out of their democracy, and these same Kochs introduced, "Right to Work" to defund and disable unions. In this Wish List you will find the typical Austrian-Libertarian (Neoliberal) policy targets like “We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.” and "“We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.” And just a little down the page you will find, “We propose the abolition of the governmental Postal Service. The present system, in addition to being inefficient, encourages governmental surveillance of private correspondence. Pending abolition, we call for an end to the monopoly system and for allowing free competition in all aspects of postal service.”
As you can see, the desire of those who fund the Republican Party (and sadly also the Democratic Party but that's another story) have had the US Postal Service in their crosshairs since at least 1980; and I suspect much earlier. These plutocrats ARE part of a conspiracy that want to see the abolition of the US Postal Service so they can take advantage of this lucrative privatization opportunity. After all, the books of any government entity forced (by legislation) to fund their employees ongoing benefits for 75 years must be impressive to anyone who wants to exploit the American people.
