I believe Ken Loach is naive when he asked, 0.58 “What are we going to do about it?” Ken appears to infer that a choice by the voter may bring change. I don’t believe Ken understands the modern structure of Western society. Maybe Ken should start listening to the late, great George Carlin who educated the people when he said, “Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations that've long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But I'll tell you what they don't want. They don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't help them.”
Reagan and Thatcher have destroyed the “left” side of politics and introduced the Neoliberal nightmare in favour of the oligarchs. Reagan and his cronies must still be laughing about the "trickle down" deception. Yes, the idiots actually thought wealth would "trickle down" if the puppets pushed all the wealth to the top. That's as idiotic as saying if we export the nation's manufacturing jobs, there will be enough employment for all in research, design, and other services. You know the end of a nation is circling the drain when most of its employment is in the FIRE sectors. (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate).
Try voting for something in which you believe; you will find the options you are chasing no linger exist. In a nation of apathetic idiots, corruption and treachery can be hidden in plain sight. Oligarchs thrive when a nation is composed mainly of the “Useful Idiots of Empire”. That’s reality; either deal with it or change it, just don’t whinge like a pack of confused state sycophants. Make sure you understand you won’t change anything by voting; you will just reinforce the system of engineered oppression. Corbyn will never be allowed as an option unless his policy platform radically changes in favour of the Oligarchs.
