I wouldn't be too critical; how many western nations are actually a uniparty state with usually two choices for the same policies.

NATO's first secretary general — Britain's Lord Ismay — said the alliance's purpose was "to keep the Soviet Union out, the Americans in, and the Germans down."

You may have forgotten the purpose of NATO (Washington) in Europe: NATO was created to “keep the Soviet Union out, the Americans in, and the Germans down.” - Lord Hastings Lionel Ismay (NATO’s first Secretary General)

"NATO's purpose is to keep the Americans in, the Russians out and the Germans down". - Hastings Ismay, NATO's first Secretary General.

Milei, like many recruited puppet "leaders" of captured western nations, has always been a puppet of Washington. He has been tasked by Washington with sacrificing the interests of his people for the interests of the few Argentinean elites and Wall Street. The word that should never be used in the same sentence as Milei and Argentina, is "democracy".

It's interesting to watch Washington to again hide behind their "Plausible Deniability" doctrine. They deny their complicity with the aggression of Israel, when Washington is the one controlling Israel. So Washington is now implicitly using Israel and its bases in the Middle East to threaten the Saudis - their implicit message is abandon BRICS or else.

Those who are doing the spending also own and control the IMF, so what's the scam. Why are they publicly criticizing their own spending? Is it to maintain the "credibility" of their IMF institution when the US government fails to service its debt? Is it just another example of their well-used Plausible Deniability Doctrine?

To understand why Germany is committing suicide, there are two important quotes: "NATO's purpose is to keep the Americans in, the Russians out and the Germans down". - Hastings Ismay (NATO's first Secretary General). "Support for Ukraine No Matter What My German Voters Think” - Annalena Baerbock (German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs). The well-funded tentacles of the empire go long and deep; and mostly go unnoticed by the voters until it's too late.

@nobodynever7884 If they can't bribe, blackmail, or coup an unwanted recalcitrant independent leader; that's how Washington deals with its problems. And if the assassination fails, they call that country a "Threat to US National Security" and send in the military.

The European people don't believe that Russia is going to invade; but the EU quislings are being paid by Washington to convince them otherwise.

Why has Australia become a vassal state of the US? Why have all the senior politicians of the two major parties in Australia become quislings for foreign interests? It's difficult for Australian politicians to ignore lucrative consultancy roles in US companies (usually military) when they retire from politics. In 2020 Joe Hockey (Australian ex-Treasurer and married to Melissa Babbage, an investment banker and head of foreign exchange and global finance at Deutsche Bank) started a company (Bondi Partners) based in Washington servicing US "National Security" needs; he had previously been given the role of Australian ambassador to Washington DC replacing another long-time quisling - Kim Beazley. Scott Morrison (Australian ex-Treasurer & ex-PM) has just taken up a role (vice Chair) next to Mike Pompeo at American Global Strategies after the $368 billion AUKUS submarine deal. As George Carlin said, "It's a big club, any you ain't in it".

Sean Foo - An apparently intelligent individual with a good knowledge of economics, but amazingly he doesn't understand the subversive and malignant intent of USAID. There is definitely something wrong here. Sean probably thinks the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED) has something to do with democracy. It appears that Sean has real problems acknowledging the US is just a covert empire that wears a white hat and slaughters for profit. May I suggest that Sean read Smedley Butler's book, "War is a Racket" or Max Blumenthal's book, "The Management of Savagery", before he gets really confused in this imaginary world he appears to have created?

Macron can't be that stupid; surely he has read the quotes of the Rockefeller minion Kissinger, “America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests”.

Any country with the military of a foreign country on its soil is a vassal of that country.

But always remember, when the US borrows money to pay for its wars, the benefits of those wars go to the wealthy and at the end of the day, the people and their progeny have to pay the bill. As Assange said, it's nothing more than money-laundering.

But Trudeau, like Macron, Scholz, and so many others western "leaders" are just tools of the plutocrats. If they tell him to blame Russia for the Canadian parliament lionizing a German SS soldier that fought in WW2, he will do it; if they tell him to change his mind on China, he will do that. He does whatever he is told. Remember, the head of state of Canada doesn't reside within Canada's borders.
