Thomas, divide and conquer has been used for centuries to undermine and control the population.  This has been successfully used by the Oligarchs who control the only electable options given to the people and many in the public eye continue to reinforce this tactic either through ignorance or financial motivation. There appears to be no solution as most blindly watch and read the tainted information on which they make their decision. Sorry, looks like these rubes will be forced to run this bifurcated treadmill for decades to come; screaming at each other but never asking why they tend to wind up at the same place – heads I win; tails you lose. The system of choice is designed so the rubes have no choice and they will never understand why. Pathetic, isn’t it?
