It was interesting to hear Messina say, 08:40 “So that the movement made in your party, whether it be Obama, Clinton, what have you; all of those when the one percent got richer, was that OK? Were you against what they were doing?” Yes Thomas, I understand this was just part of a partisan rebuttal on behalf of Messina, but within the rebuttal lies the truth. Do you see how awkward it is when you fail to criticize the Corporate Democrats and then Messina exposes the Corporate Democrats as Wall Street puppets. If you believe yourself to be a progressive and not a Limousine Corporate Liberal Democrat, why don’t you just acknowledge what you believe the Corporate Democrats to be instead of continually avoiding the issue? Your rebuttal of, 08:50 “I’m simply saying that the tax policy we had before Reagan came in with these obscene and absurd ideas that if you give more money to rich people somehow it is going to make poor people less poor is nonsense”, was evasive and understandably so.
Thomas, do you see how your refusal to call out the Corporate Democrats dilutes your “Progressive” arguments. It’s sad to watch you argue a narrative that is covertly opposed by the Corporate Democrats. I agree with all of what you said; the US prospered with a 91 percent top tax rate and Supply Side Economics was a total deception and farce by Wall Street, but your argument falls short when you fail to implicate the Corporate Democrats.
