  1. You want American test books to reflect the historical truth!  That’s never going to happen. Truth, and not just Black American truth, has been obfuscated and conflated with falsehoods, and removed from American textbooks for a reason. Beware anyone that quotes history from a state sanctioned historical text. An interesting exercise is to find out the actual history before it was rewritten. Much of it is still out there, you just have to look. If you ever read something that appears to contradict the state narrative, investigate and research the topic until you exhaust all reasonably available and verifiable information. You will be surprised what you can learn. Remember George Orwell, "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."
