Hartmann continually calls Rivera, "his friend". It makes one wonder what these two "friends" have in common besides the weather? And Rivera doesn't appear to be Hartmann's only Libertarian friend (Charles Sauer). Maybe Hartmann has more in common with Rivera and Sauer than what he portrays in this discussion? Could it be a case of "methinks thou dost protest too much". Does Hartmann only present Rivera as a foil to protect the perception of his fake "progressivism"?

@innocentbystander72 : If you listen carefully, after Hartmann calls Rivera his friend, he clearly states that he will call him privately for a phone conversation about friends and family and not to have that conversation on-air. Hartmann even admits he has known Rivera for years. So any rational person would conclude from that narrative Rivera and Hartmann are friends. And how can Hartmann have libertarians as friends when Hartmann pretends to hate Trump with such fervor? There is little difference between the politics of Libertarians and Trump. If you read Nancy MacLean's book, "Democracy In Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America", you will see that Trump's political and strategic actions "disliked" so much by Hartmann come straight out of the Charles Koch libertarian play book. If you still retain some comprehension skills and would prefer to read some researched factual information instead of listening to some hack with an agenda, it may be worth a look. So, is Hartmann complicit in the “Third Way” Corporate Democrat Imperial Neoliberal scam or just a fool? I don’t believe Hartmann is that stupid.

@innocentbystander72 : Don't be gullible; words are cheap. And Bernie is a conflicted politician. Bernie appears to have some progressive principles but politically always takes the easier establishment road. As for Thomas and the Kochs; that could all be an act - and it appears that it is so. Remember, it was the Kochs that funded the Clinton-Gore "Third Way" "Democratic Leadership Council" ,and we all know how Hartmann is devoted to supporting the corrupt Clinton Democratic establishment just as much as he is devoted to supporting the empire.
