  1. US politics is designed by the plutocrats to be a binary choice. They control one party (Republicans) that openly screws the American people and they control another party (Democrats) that pretends to work for the majority against the influence of Wall Street and offers the people fake “Hope and Change”. When the institutions of a political and media system are so corrupt in whichever direction you look, is it so surprising that people grab at any delusional opportunity to free themselves from this feculent democracy and grab onto any option that may bring about change. Remember, this isn’t the time of Roosevelt where “Socialist” and “Communist” movements existed to work for the interests of the majority and gave the people a voice in the political arena. With the help of the corrupt media and treacherous Hollywood studios, the plutocrats have turned these names into a pejorative in the minds of the people and apart from a failing union movement; the people now have no voice. If you look back into history, it was these “Socialist”, “Communist” and union movements that had the popular political leverage to bring about the New Deal; it wasn’t the good will of Roosevelt and his Hampton buddies. Remember, it was Roosevelt who later wrote, that by introducing the New Deal he had saved capitalism and it was Roosevelt that helped shaft Henry Wallace; a true man of the people. But history is written by the plutocrats and then filtered to the masses, and most are to apathetic to source the facts for themselves. The days of Roosevelt and the multiple voices of the people have long gone, and in this fascist system Wall Street is now in total control. If you look back at the actions of the Democratic Party, they enabled this fascist system and promoted its interests. You will find the treachery of Hillary in her well paid speeches to Wall Street now written out of the lexicon. So don’t be too surprised if you see people looking for alternatives in some very strange places when you have a one party state pretending to be a democracy. But the pundits and facilitators (Hartmann, Pocan, Perez, Pelosi, etc.) of the system will never admit this obvious fact, they continue with the idea of the false choice to keep the status quo. That’s just the way the plutocrats designed it to be in perpetuity.
