  5. Hartmann's job has always been to sell the Democratic Party to his rubes to maintain the status quo. Not that Hartmann especially likes the Democratic Party, but because it's his job to make sure you continue to vote for the status quo. There are Hartmanns on the right side of politics that carry out the same propaganda function for the GOP. Each side works together to make sure you only vote for one the two parties owned by the plutocrats; no third parties allowed. In reality, the plutocrats don't actually care for whom you vote, just as long as you don't vote third party.
