@trident6547 let the Argentine air force try and capture the isle of wight, then we'll compare tactics.

@COMPASS_MDP lot's of Argentine neighbours have feared them, ask the thousands of families that had relatives go missing by your junta about aggressive tactics.

@elchikito2788 How many times in the past 50 years has the UK invaded a sovereign country with the intention of never leaving and making it part of the UK, like Argentina did to the Falklands?
14
@COMPASS_MDP because it was carried out by the military. Also we're just talking about abilities, nothing aggressive about a training operation, please tell me how Argentina would go about carrying out such an operation? Also talking about aggressive overseas tactics, how many overseas wars of aggression has the UK been involved in in the past 50 years where land has taken with the intention to hold it forever? none, Argentina has a more aggressive overseas policy as it intended to never stop occupation of the Falklands if the invasion was successful, so Argentina has a more aggressive overseas policy in recent history.
11
@elchikito2788 When is Argentina ending its colonisation of indigenous South American land?
10
@elchikito2788 Argentina, wars of colonisism in past 50 years 1, UK, wars of colonialism past 50 years 0
9
@briton3851 No, the Argentinians surrendered before they entered the fighting, the Gurkhas did not fight in any battles on the Falklands.
9
@sojup61 only first class pilots fly complex machines like this, poor training will be exposed in a Harrier
7
One type 45 destroyer could put down the entire Argentine Airforce now, it probably wouldn't even require an aircraft carrier.
7
@elchikito2788 Us, Canada and Australia are all independent nations, it's like Britain holding Spain responsible for the Argentine war of the 1980's, The US, Canada and Australia are not waging wars of colonisism like Argentina.
7
@elchikito2788 Argentina is a long way from Spain, obviously the people who lived there before you enslaved them and forced them to live as second class citizens on their own land. You still can't answer why it's OK for Spanish people to own Argentina, but British people can't own the Falklands, when they're both about the same distance away.
7
@elchikito2788 Canada and Australia are independent, Britain does not control them, stop trying to change the focus.
6
The Gurkhas did not fight in the Falklands, your grandfather is telling lies.
6
@DE Argentinians are a long way from Spain.
5
Northern Ireland wasn't a war, or an occupation.
5
@raywhitehead730 Yes, the US pilot loss was very different to the British pilot loss, standard of training?
3
@elchikito2788 Because you said "Britain has had more wars in the past 50 years"
3
Argentina sends its support to Moscow, they're still hoping for a few Russian interceptors to harass Falkland airspace.
3
@stevenr2463 You just made all that up.
3
@Thelegendle0 Go and watch the BBC documentary on the Falklands war by Peter and Dan Snow, the point out the Gurkhas did not enter any battle in the Falklands war, it's actually incredibly sad that people leave comments like this.
3
An, not A
2
Britain was run by Labour communists for years prior to their invasion, they had eaten Britain from inside, that's probably why they expected no response.
2
@rayjames6096 How would the Argentine forces held up without French and American help? French aircraft, American ships and landing craft?
2
@COMPASS_MDP so we can compare tactics, purely an exercise so nobody gets hurt.
2
@keir1984 I wasn't even considering it being a battle, I was merely suggesting the logistics of getting those Argentine forces to the Isle of Wight would be a similar task, one I don't think think they could achieve regardless of any resistance.
2
If Britain hadn't kicked the occupying forces of Argentina out of the Falklands, it's almost guaranteed they would have carried out ethnic cleansing.
2
Weird that Spanish declare south American nation as theirs, but that's life.
1
Should have made it a museum piece rather than selling it to an unhinged dictatorship.
1
Lol, US did even enter until half way through
1
Wilson was a Russian stooge
1
No
1
Even with half a dozen typhoon Eurofighters on the Falklands now, I don't think Argentina could get a foothold on British territory.
1
Imagine if both sides had been able to operate from home bases, but yes, Argentine intelligence could be compared to sub Saharan
1
😂 I just spoke with Saddam, he likes your comment
1
@paolodechipiece1027 Argentina doesn't even have a boat to get to the Falklands.
1
@gollumtheartisticnewt1028 OK, Iceland, challenge accepted.
1
@Thelegendle0 Why are you thanking him? he made the story up.
1
Wilson was a Soviet stooge, whilst destroying British defence industry he was supporting Russian Imperialist terrorists killing British immigrants in Rhodesia
1
Iraq was one of the largest armies on earth at the time.
1
He did say the munition had two parts, one containing anti runway, one carrying anti personnel
