You make a few good points, but 1: why did you actively engage in those wars if you don't agree with them? 2: while I don't agree with with the wars you took part in, the key difference is Iraq and Afghanistan were not being permanently annexed, we all know if Russia takes over Ukraine it just becomes a permanent puppet state of Russia like Bellarus.
