During European colonialism periods in Africa large infrastructure ventures would provide mass employment for local people, China has been doing this in Africa for the past 25 years, getting deals to build infrastructure, then shipping in their own work force so the local people don't even benefit from the employment it brings, it also burdens the nation with Chinese debt, I have to hand it to Chinese, they've rebadged Colonialism and created a fix for their huge population without work, and made it seem like a beneficial thing, actually quite clever.

  22.  @jacksonteller1337  France has not surpassed the UK at all, they only have one Carrier, you need two carriers to maintain a year round Carrier force, you have to allow for one ship to potentially be in for maintenance at some point. The UK would currently be operating the first fully digitally integrated armoured vehicle fleet if the contract hadn't allowed Spain to supply vehicles with shoddy chassis, that's why you don't outsource to nations with very little experience building certain things, I guess their legal team will make them pay but it's time wasted.

The world won't tolerate dictators annexing entire countries anymore, Putin is from a bygone era, nobody subjugated by the Soviets will ever willingly join the Kremlin again, the best option if really wanted to unite the Soviet Union again would be to apologise for all the mass murder and poverty, stop killing opposition politicians in Russia, and have fair elections.
