  1. ​​ @Boric78 The man who headed the SAS in Malaya would later form the Selous scouts, you could say lessons were learned, that man literally wrote the book on modern COIN warfare. If you can get hold of Reid Daly's book it's well worth it, my copy was about £80, had to get shipped from south Africa.

  2.  @TheHistoryChap  Maybe you could cover the reasons it, the tax hikes to pay for wars against Indians etc that Britain was getting fed up with.

  3. ​ @piney4562 That's not entirely true, many Selous scouts were turned opposition, this was incredibly effective, wouldn't have been possible without hearts and minds strategy, sanctions killed Rhodesia not the battlefield.
