  1. Our maths teacher was like this in the late 60's to early 70's. If we didn't understand then she couldn't understand why we didn't. Perhaps if she tried to explain it better it might have worked. She was an ogre and we didn't feel we could ask her to explain it again. It was years later when I did some Open University I understood how to properly solve algebra problems because it was explained properly. Bill, northern England.
